Yuki Kobayashi Praises Thomas Vermaelen in His Twitter Video

Celtic has already proceeded with the transfer plans and is dealing with Yuki Kobayashi, the Japanese center-back. He is a new signing, which has been confirmed already before the winter window opens. The next player to be signed is Alistar Johnston.

Even though the Hoop’s new Japanese Bhoy cannot play before January, he can join his new teammates at the training camp. Vissel Kobe, Kobayashi’s previous club bid farewell and wished him luck. He shared a warm message with a video on their official YouTube account about Kobayashi’s move. In the video, Kobayashi was seen praising his ex-teammate, Thomas Vermaelen in Japan. The two had been together at Vissel Kobe for some time with the Belgian player joining in 2019 from Barcelona before retiring in January 2022.

About his former Barcelona star, Kobayashi said that he has learned a lot from him and he has shown a significant desire and hunger to go and win the ball. He said that it has been incredible to see that and it taught him how to play like that. According to him, it had been a pleasure to be able to get the experience of working with him, and said that it has helped him achieve his goal.

The experience of Vermaelen with 85 caps for Belgium and playing time with Arsenal, Ajax, and Barcelona have caused him to be a part of Belgium’s coaching team in World Cup Qatar. Vermaelen will have offered significant learning for Kobayashi for taking onboard. Every player at Celtic is keen to see the brand-new signing being put to practice in the Hoops. So, it is to be seen how things are going to go for him in Glasgow.

He is going to have some tough competition for the spot in the team as Celtic already has players, such as Carl Starfelt, Cameron Cater-Vickers, Moritz Jenz, and Stephen Welsh.
