Inter Milan striker RomeluLukaku produced one of the best performances in the ongoing Euro 2020 tournament till date when he scored a brace to lead the Red Devils of Belgium to a 3-0 win over hosts Russia in a Group B clash played at St. Petersburg at the weekend.

RomeluLukaku is seen as one of the best strikers in European football and he justified that tag with his two goals to continue his wonderful scoring form for the Belgian national team. The Nerazzuri hitman has scored 62 goals in just 94 games for his team on the international stage thus making him one of the active highest goalscorers in international football.

Lukaku pounced on indecisive defending from the Russians to put Belgium ahead before substitute Thomas Meunier added a second goal in the first half. Borussia Dortmund right wingback Meunier had come on for injured Leicester City player Timothy Castagne before he doubled the lead for his team. Lukaku then wrapped up the game for Belgium in the second half with his brace to deliver an emphatic victory over Russia.

With the two goals from Lukaku, Belgium were able to deliver one of themost emphatic results of the ongoing Euro 2020 till date. Only Belgium and hosts Italy have scored three goals without reply after the first ten matches of the tournament. The Italians thrashed Turkey 3-0 in a Group A clash played on Friday night before Lukaku and Belgium repeated the scoreline against the Russians in Group B on Saturday night.

Lukaku delivered an impressive performance for Belgium in attack, while the likes of Thomas Vermaelen helped the team to a clean sheet at the back.  Thomas Vermaelen came on for Jan Vertonghen in the final quarter of the game to help his team see out the clean sheet. Thomas Vermaelen had started the game on the bench as manager Roberto Martinez opted for the trio of Jan Vertonghen, DedryckBoyataand Toby Alderweireld as his three centre backs.
